Consultant Podiatric Surgeon
John Malik is a Consultant Podiatric Surgeon and Podiatrist. He offers foot health care services in Birmingham, Worcester and Malvern in both the NHS and Private Sector. Along with general podiatry, physiotherapy and podiatric surgery, Mr Malik and his team offer gait analysis and biomechanics. 3D scanning and digital foot pressure analysis are used to aid clinical examination and diagnosis. Most orthotics made are based upon 3D digital images of the foot using state of the art production techniques supported by Foot Health EU.
Mr Malik is an experienced Podiatrist having been in practice for over 23 years. He is a Fellow of the Directorate of Surgery, College of Podiatrists and holds a substantive NHS appointment as a Consultant Podiatric Surgeon. He has been awarded a Masters Degree in Science with Distinction from Huddersfield University in the subject area of Podiatic Surgery. He holds a first class BSc Hons degree in Podiatry. As an educationalist he undertook a Cert Ed from The University of Central England and is also an AHP Independent Prescriber. Mr Malik is a former: Head of Podiatry at the Birmingham School of Podiatry and taught pathomechanics for some years, elected Faculty Board Member of the Faculty of Surgery (College of Podiatrists) and Quality Assurance Committee.
He is a former external examiner to the MSc Theory of Podiatric Surgery Course provided by GCal and QMU. Mr Malik was the Chair of the Podiatric Surgery Exam Board for the College of Podiatrists until May 2016, moving on to take more time for personal study, research and clinical practice. He acts as an Expert Witness and is certified by Cardiff University Bond Solon in civil law.
